Thanks to a hybrid rice, the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) has announced that rice production will grow greatly in the tropics and surrounding lands.

This hybrid plant improves production by eliminating sterile rice. For the time being, hybrid rice has been used in China's coolest regions on 13 million hectares (one-third of Chinese rice lands) and is expected to yield between 7 and 8 tons per hectare.
