3D camera

1999/10/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria

Taking advantage of the knowledge of x-rays in radioastronomy and medical tomography, they have built a camera that forms images in 3 dimensions without using lenses. Because you don't need lenses, the resulting optical system has an infinite depth of field, so the object will always appear focused.

The lenses are replaced by a series of mirrors and distributors that collect the "portrait sequence" while the object rotates slowly in front of the camera. The camera collects information as a radio telescope and, after processing the two-dimensional data, forms a three-dimensional image. Instead of
making conventional photos, images should be viewed in a computer environment or virtual reality.
