Women in science, promoting equality
For the last 10 years, February 11 has been celebrated and, in fact, Women in Science has celebrated its 10th anniversary. We spoke with Oihana Vadillo Eceiza and Itziar Otegui Felize about the trajectory and objectives of this network, made up of women scientists from different fields.
A European project in which the University of the Basque Country participates will also be announced. It is called FemStem and aims to bring science, technology, mathematics and engineering studies closer to girls, taking into account the trajectories of women scientists.
We have also been with a researcher who has researched the presence of scientists in the media. Maider Eizmendi Iraola belongs to the Gureiker group of the University of the Basque Country, with a PhD in Social Communication. She has spent years researching the visibility and imagery of women scientists and has drawn very interesting conclusions.
