Juice or nectar, or in other words, what is it?
In many countries, the definition of fruit juice is exhaustive. Thus, it is desirable to distinguish between juice and beverages containing juice. In the European Union, the beverage obtained from fruit by mechanical processes is called juice. It should have the typical color and flavor of the fruit from which this drink originates.
Depending on the ingredients used to make the juice, there are several types of juice on the market.
Natural juices, first. They are fresh juices that have been stabilized by a series of physical treatments to avoid waste. There are also juices that contain some preservative, which are called preserved juices. Sugary juices are juices that contain some type of sweetener, most often containing sucrose or common sugar. And finally, the juices containing carbonic gas are called gasified juices.
Sometimes the juice and the nectar mix. Fruit nectar is a product obtained from crushed fruit. The addition of water, sugar and fruit acids to this product increases its caloric content and makes it more attractive to confectioners. For this reason, fruit nectar is not recommended for people with obesity or diabetics, better juice.
