Water, from the forest to the river

Globally, the demand for water is increasing, while the flow of drinking water is decreasing. In order to address this problem, it is important, among other things, to study the state of water in the streams. The hydrologists Ane Zabaleta and Iñaki Antiguedad of the UPV/EHU are involved in this work. The different types of forests seek to analyze their impact on the flow of water in the streams, as studies have shown that the link between proper forest management and water quality is direct.
