The sleepwalkers

A pill that explains the behavior of sleepwalkers

Moving, talking, or getting up to do anything. These are the most popular images of sleepwalking.

Somnambulism is a parasomnia, a sleep disorder characterized by a sudden onset of activity. This activity is explained in the sleep of slow waves, when there are no dreams, and generally in the first third of the night. This means that the sleepwalker becomes active only when he is in a deep sleep.

The sleepiness has changed the cycle formed by the waking period. For this reason, he performs tasks that are performed awakened while sleeping, such as walking, eating, or playing a musical instrument. And all this without the sleepwalker realizing it. The next day the sleepwalker will remember nothing of what he has done; his amnesia is complete.

Somnambulism usually occurs in childhood, but sometimes persists into adulthood.

It is widely known that awakening sleepwalkers is bad, but it is a mere legend, as well as the fact that they walk with their arms extended forward. If the sleepwalker wakes up, we'll scare him to death.
