Laptop or tablet?
Laptop or tablet? If you are in doubt between the two, you should know that there are also hybrid devices that offer the advantages of both: like tablets, they have touchscreens and intuitive interfaces, without losing the power of their laptops and their keyboard. Today we are going to see two of these convertible computers. From the same idea, with very different designs.
This one here is the Sony Vaio Duo, which, as you can see, is an 11.6-inch panoramic tablet. A little thick, that is. If we pull the screen, we find a small illuminated keyboard with an optical trackpad. It also has a pair of HDMI and USB ports, an SD card reader and a VGA connection that is still used by most projectors. it weighs 1.3 kg, approximately twice that of a normal tablet. If you have a small cock: during transportation, the screen is exposed and the usual cover of the tablet does not work for you.
At first glance, this other model may look like a regular computer. Lenovo is IdeaPad Yoga, and that’s what it’s called because it’s really flexible. The screen is folded completely until it is hidden behind the keyboard. Thus, we have a large tablet of 13.3 inches; uncomfortable to handle with one hand, if necessary. It weighs just over a pound and a half and is 17 mm thick. So even if it’s a little big as a tablet, it can be considered a slim and lightweight laptop.
Both work with the Windows 8 operating system and are managed through this other interface that, in addition to the traditional desktop, is designed for touch screens. They also agree on something else: Ultrabooks have Intel Core i7 processors that give them the seal, that is, they are computers that combine flexibility and power. As for the price, these 11 and 13 inch models cost between 1,100 and 1,300 €.
