[Immunotherapy: a new hope in cancer patients]

Immunotherapy has been the largest advance in cancer treatment in recent years. Unlike chemo- and radiotherapies that attack tumor cells directly, immunotherapy aims to strengthen the patient's immune system so that it can detect and kill malignant cells on its own. This laboratory of CICbioGUNE carries out the early development of new therapies. One of their lines of research is the study of the characteristics of the so-called tumor microenvironment to help the lymphocytes do their job.
