Equations, spying on the virus

Some BCAM mathematicians have developed a mathematical model to track the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic. It is based on well-known basic models of other types of epidemics and needs to be changed as data on this pandemic are obtained. In general, the behavior and spread of COVID19 are unknown, which is why the model needs to be constantly adjusted. The biomathematician Maira Aguiar tells us how they develop and maintain this model.
