#32 ULTRAVIOLET WAVES: Against the taboo of menopause

Menopause is a physical, psychological and social process. It covers, by definition, a period of one year after the last menstrual period has fallen. But it is not limited to a date, it is a process that brings hormonal changes and with it physical and psychic changes. These changes have a direct impact on the lives of women, emotionally and also from a social and cultural point of view. Although it has great effects, it is often hidden; it is taboo.

With ultraviolet waves, Alaitz Ochoa de Eribe and Ana Galarraga Aiestarán have looked at all these aspects and their consequences, breaking stigma and taboos. In addition, they have given the usual intervals: news, "You learn something every day", and the clarification of whether what you have heard is true or false.

The Ultra Violet Wave podcast is produced by Elhuyar for EITB Podkast.
