The ecosphere (23.04.2025)

33rd session of Season V. We talked about battery recycling: methods and technology to recover and reuse metals from the batteries of electrical devices that we use daily. There is a need for this, but it has not yet been achieved. On the other hand, Denis Benito of the Plencia Marine Station tells us how marine species that are currently disembarking on the Basque coast are treated. We’ve talked about cetaceans, but we’ve also talked about sea dogs, turtles and sharks. We also talked about how Donald Trump’s policies affect the measurements of the Mauna Loa Observatory. This is a serious matter, because the CO2 measurements that have taken place in the tens are already interrupted at intervals, and we do not know what the future will be.
