#14 EHU-In Action: Aixa Barbarin López

Aixa Barbarín López is an underwater archaeologist who, she confesses, wanted to be an archaeologist since she was a child. When it was time for him to go to university, he chose to study history at the UPV/EHU and became involved in archaeology. His career in underwater archaeology didn’t cross his mind until, in his spare time, he tried the Eurpeking with a friend. He decided to combine the two disciplines when he saw that they offered a master’s degree in underwater archaeology at the University of Cadiz. "It allowed me to combine my lifelong dream with my new hobby." Since then he has been working on it, finding and investigating underwater treasures in ports and under the sea.
