Onintze Salazar Pérez: Has the weather changed, or is it because of climate change?
Lately, there are a lot of extreme weather events around us: floods, droughts, losses... This has been accompanied by clear changes in our environment: The glaciers of the Pyrenees are disappearing, the migratory animals have changed their habits, the structure and expansion of the vegetation are also changing. The weather, they say, is not the same. To what extent are these changes normal or the effects of global warming?
These changes have been discussed by physicist and meteorologist Onintze Salazar Pérez, with Ana Galarraga Aiestarán from Elhuyar, as part of the cycle of talks in the light of women scientists.
The cycle, which aims to raise awareness among women scientists, is the result of a collaboration between Elhuyar and San Sebastian Culture.
