The Atlantic hurricane season will officially begin on June 1 and will last until November 30. The US organization NOAA has announced that 6-9 hurricanes can be formed in this period.
According to this organization, 11 to 15 tropical storms will be created this year, 5-9 of which will become hurricanes. Among the hurricanes, 2-4 will be second-rate on the Saffir-Simpson scale. This scale is up to five depending on the wind speed. The second category hurricanes have a wind of 155-175 km/h, and those of 5 exceed 250.
Predictions are around the averages of previous years, but it is very difficult to know whether or not they will be fulfilled. In addition, experts have stated that the first signs of La Niña can make this year's season more active than expected.
