In Los Angeles, the genetics team led by scientist Robert Wayne at the University of California, claims that the dog married 100,000 years ago and not 14,000 years ago. The DNA of 162 wolves, 140 dogs and some coiotes and dogs has been analyzed worldwide. Thanks to this they have been able to extract their filiation and chronology.

Although these canids can fertilize each other, the only ancestor of the dog is the wolf. In addition, three out of four dogs have been tamed following a line. Formerly curiosity or hunger pushed a type of wolf into the human territory, and many canine races that we have today represent it.
