In mid-April, NASA launched the TERRA satellite into space within the Earth Science Science Enterprise project to receive detailed information about the Earth. The objective of the mission is to obtain information on the atmosphere, land surface, oceans, solar radiation and life, as well as to study their interaction. In this way we will be able to know at all times the health of our planet to detect and solve the most serious environmental problems.

The NASA space agency is developing complex computer models to analyze or predict the interactions between the aforementioned elements. The satellite that will collect all the information is already underway and the American agency plans to offer new services for the year 2005. In order to obtain the information received by the satellite, researchers will have to pay.

According to NASA, detailed information on Earth will allow institutions and governments to make appropriate decisions on issues affecting the environment. The main concern now is that they can make good use of the information.
