Ta Prohm, temple of trees

Although on some occasion more than 12,000 Buddhists have resided, in recent centuries the trees have been the kings of the temple of Ta Prohm. Located in the Angkor region of Cambodia, this temple is occupied by the jungle. XII. It was built in the early sixteenth century by order of King Jayavarmán VII. The temple was a monastery and university of Buddhists.
XV. In the 20th century Ta Prohm and the entire Angkor region were abandoned. Nature made its own way and devoured jungles to various temples. The buildings were at the root of the trees.
XIX. At the beginning of the 20th century, when the French arrived in Angor, they discovered it and decided to maintain Ta Prohm for its scenic value, and how these temples were found as a sample. Today it is one of the most important tourist hooks in Cambodia.
