Biodegradable plastic is ready in France. Conventional plastic takes about two hundred years to degrade naturally. However, the new biodegradable plastic only takes two years.

This new plastic has the characteristics of conventional, but its components are different. Structure with corn starch, in addition to polyethylene. When plastic is deposited in the soil they attack starch, facilitating the degradation of synthetic polymer.

However, the new plastic presents a disadvantage against the old one, which is 15% more price.
