I'm talking about Arg. THE WIZARD

Sustainable feedingstuffs with by-products of grapes, oranges and olives have been developed in an international collaboration coordinated by AZTI. Through innovative processes, they have managed to improve the digestibility and nutritional profile of these by-products in the food industry, making them suitable for the animal diet.

The NEWFEED project has involved research centres and food companies. For example, the research centers AZTI and NEIKER have collaborated with the winery Baigor and the technology provider Riera Nadeu to transform the wood part that remains when the grains are separated from the cluster of grapes into food for sheep and cows. In Greece, the modified orange peel has resulted in protein for sheep. And in Egypt, the by-product that remains after the oil is extracted from the olive has been converted into chicken feed.
