Sequence of images of the pulsar of the Karramarro nebula

With images taken at the Chandra X Ray Observatory and the Hubble Space Telescope, astronomers have managed to complete the sequence of images of the pulsar of the Karramarro nebula.

The film, composed of 32 photographs taken by both tools between August 2000 and April 2001, provides new data on the operation of the press. The pulsar is a neutron star that rotates very fast and through the photos you can see the rays coming from the inside of the pulsar. But the most surprising feature is the jet perpendicular to the rings. The jet consists of electrons of matter and antimatería that move at half the speed of light.
