Hawaii volcanoes

Hawaii recalls paradise, tranquility, a classic and exotic vacation spot that many would like to enjoy one day. Even for swell lovers, Hawaii is a must-see. Life constantly shines in this Pacific archipelago, both outside and inside.
Magmatic activity is constantly and easily visible in different places. Especially on the main island, Big Island. There is the Volcanoes National Park, where the most active volcano in Hawaii is located: Large kilawea.
Since reawakening in 1984, Kilawea has not stopped throwing the lava. Sometimes silent, slow, tender, and sometimes violent and fast. Whatever the rhythm, the volcano is always active. In the last 25 years the surface of the island has grown 200 hectares due to the lava launched by Kilawea. When this lava meets sea water, it forms compact smoke columns. It is a unique show.

The islands of Hawaii have their origin in the activity of several volcanoes originating in the seabed. All these volcanoes were born from a source of magma called "hot zone" in geology. According to this theory, the tectonic plate under the Pacific is moving northwest, while the "hot zone" remains motionless. Therefore, little by little new volcanoes are emerging. Currently, the heart of this hot current is about 30 kilometers south of Big Island. A new volcano is born there. It is still 975 meters below sea level, but is already called. It is called loi.
