Delivered to Günter Blobel. Born in 1936 in Waltersdorf (Germany) of Silesia. After graduating in Oncology in 1967 he moved to New York to work at Rockefeller University, where in 1974 he won the Nobel Prize in George Palade's laboratory.

He is currently a full professor at Rockefeller University. He has researched in cell biology. The result of this work has obtained thirteen awards throughout his career. Blobel discovers proteins in its structure in an appropriate place within the cell

Thanks to this, it has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology 1999.
