G7's growing life expectancy
2000/09/01 Elhuyar Zientzia Iturria: Elhuyar aldizkaria
The G7 consists of the seven most industrialized countries in the world: Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and the United States. Thanks to economic power, the standard of living of its inhabitants is higher than that of others, although the standard of living does not always coincide with life expectancy. However, the latter is also growing more than expected. G7 residents are expected to live between 1.3 and 8 years longer than today by 2050, 1.8 years more in Britain and 8 years more in Japan. The forecast has been made through models that collect information from the last 5 decades. In these 50 years the mortality rate in all age ranges has decreased exponentially and is estimated to continue in the next 50.
