Listen to the eclipse of the sun!
A team at the Center for Astrophysics suggests another way to experience a solar eclipse: listening. A tool that converts sunlight into sound has been developed within the framework of the LightSound project, which aims to be an innovative resource that allows anyone to experience an eclipse. Through it, people with low vision will be able to detect the annual astronomical phenomenon through hearing.
As the Moon begins to position itself in front of the Sun, the intensity of the light will decrease and the device will signal the changes in musical melodies in real time. When the sun shines with great intensity, the sound will be high and, as it decreases, it will become more severe. In this way, it will create a kind of soundtrack of the eclipse.
The websites also provide resources to make the device itself.
