Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka is a finalist for the STEAM Euskadi Awards

The Department of Education of the Basque Government has analysed 133 candidates presented by the Research Centre for Scientific and Mathematical Education (GREW) and the Technical Commission constituted by the Basque Innovation Agency, Innobasque, of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and has appointed 12 finalists, including Elhuyar Zientzia.

The award has two categories and Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka is finalist in this category: “The most innovative initiative in STEAM education. STEAM values innovative initiatives in education with excellent results.” The resolution will be known after the summer of 2020.

In addition, Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka has been recognized with the STEAM Euskadi seal for its work promoting STEAM Education in the Basque Country.The Bizilabe project has also achieved the seal. For being focused on the objectives of the STEAM Euskadi Strategy and for having the character of STEAM for being an initiative that has passed to the first phase.

This seal is awarded to organizations that are developing innovative STEAM educational initiatives with achievements (schools, universities, non-formal education institutions, research centers, companies…) for being focused on the objectives of the STEAM Euskadi Strategy and for being STEAM. This is the first edition and Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka and the Bizilabe project have been included in the list of finalists.
