From an economic point of view, it is preferable to preserve nature without exploiting it

A group of environmentalists from the University of Cambridge in Britain calculates the economic value of nature's goods and services. For example, within the natural services of a forest has taken into account the ability to absorb carbon dioxide, water filtration or food fixation. Among the goods are wild animals and plants.

This value is then compared to the benefits obtained by the exploitation of natural resources. And the result is that from the economic point of view, the areas of exploitation obtain a much higher yield than that of the exploited natural areas. Certain activities have been analyzed in Malaysia, Cameroon, Thailand, Canada and the Philippines, and in all cases have proven that it is economically more beneficial to care for these spaces in operation than to exploit them industrially.
