Carlos Redondo was born in Ordizia. On the occasion of a grant from the Aristrain Foundation, he was able to study at the San Sebastian School of Engineers. Once finished, he began teaching at the School of Goierri. For the next academic year 1973. For the year 2004 he was in Arrasate, professor of the Polytechnic School. The ordiziarra was at the inauguration of Ikerlan.

"I have been in Ikerlan for 25 years. When I started researching. Then I took the direction of a department, then participated in the change of specialty and in the opening of new lines, then they gave me the scientific direction of the center and now take the direction of the center.
