The fastest warming in history has been achieved at the University of Bordeaux. For this they have emitted a laser pulse to pure sapphire, which has caused some holes in the sapphire that have measured the heating obtained.

The temperature has risen a million degrees per second. It is the fastest heating speed measured so far. However, it is not the highest temperature ever reached, as the warming has lasted about 200 femtoseconds, so the temperature has remained at five hundred thousand Celsius -- the record stands at two billion degrees.
