Running to run

The robots have been walking for a long time, but so far not as elegant as humans. However, the main problem is not the appearance, but the amount of energy they consume when walking. Most robots consumed ten times more energy than us in this mechanical walking procedure. However, in the latest models, designers have faced this problem: they have simulated human behavior through a technique called passive dynamics. This technique allows to take advantage of the inertia and gravity of a step to use it in the next step, avoiding that the robot needs more energy than humans.
The operation of the robot can be seen in the following video.
