A new battery made of aluminum will soon be sold in the US. The pile consists of an aluminum anode and an air cathode immersed in a saline solution. The aluminum/oxygen reaction produces three times more energy than the normal alkaline stack.

A three-wheeled electric car has been launched using ten batteries of which the battery life is very long, a 24-hour tobacco battery.
