We left the port in 1974. When one of us announced that this trip was going to be long and fruitful, we began to review for our Gulf the list of obstacles to be faced on that excursion: the only tool for unformed writers was the language. We started blindly and over the years, the goal of our journey goes back to completing stage number 100. Although it is the same direction of then and today, on the way we have learned a lot, what today speaks of the importance of the task. The others have added that there is a lot to learn, just listen to it.

"Elhuyar. The magazine "Zientzia eta Teknika" has completed its number 100. What may seem like a dirty and modest event has great significance for those of us who do scientific outreach in Basque. This confirms, among other things, that the founders of Elhuyar Kultur Elkartea and those who have met over the years with the same intention took the first step in the right direction. It seemed a good time to humbly return our eyes back and refresh our memory. That is the reader who would like to get the “basket” of the pages listed below: to offer to those who did not know the environment of their creation the opportunity to express their concerns at this time, and to thank those who have come along with us, as humanity demands.

We have not forgotten that the boat that started 25 years ago has had to do many laps. The objective of then and today is the same, but the change of the means used for this indicates that time has advanced. To say that we are proud of what we have done does not make us vibrate the colors: we are trying to form the Basque language an adequate and pleasant scientific manifestation, and although we have not always been successful, we believe that we are falling in the way and learning from errors.

Finally, the number 100 confirms that the road will be long. The travel of the magazine has no destination, but we are sailing and for the moment it is the most important.
