Assisted by Bryce Canyon
Bryce Canyon is full of chimneys carved for millions of years by ice, water and wind. The shape of these rocks and the red, orange and white colors make up a spectacular landscape. In the United States, it is located in the southwest of Utah, at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters.
Bryce Canyon has not been created by erosion caused by a river, so although it has this name, it is not in fact a canyon. On the contrary, they are several natural amphitheatres that extend for about 30 kilometers. And the geological structures in the form of a chimney called hoodoo are its most notable feature; the longest ones are 60 meters. The largest amphitheater is the Bryce Amphitheater (in the photos): it is 19 km long, 5 km wide and 240 meters deep.
the carpenter Ebenezer Bryce said it was "the worst place to lose a cow." He and his wife settled at the foot of the Bryce amphitheater at the end of the 19th century, and the place has been named after him ever since.
