Bubbles of soap

There are several recipes to make good soap bubbles. The basic ingredients are water and soap. It’s as easy as mixing and blowing well.

The water and soap create a layer that, when propelled with air, stretches and closes to form a sphere. The microscopic structure formed by water and soap makes the bubble possible. The surface of the bubble is itself a thin layer of water, and the soap stabilizes this structure from the outside and from the inside because the soap has a surfactant capacity.

The bubble is held by the surface tension of the water, and it is because of this surface tension that the bubble is spherical, since the bubble occupies the smallest possible surface for a given volume.

This sphere naturally deforms with the wind and movement. But it always has the most stable form of the moment.

One of the keys to the beauty of soap bubbles is the set of colors, iridescence. The light is reflected at several frequencies simultaneously, and all the colors of the rainbow appear on the surface of the bubble.

Whatever it is, this beauty is not meant to last.
