Superalloys to the furnace

The manufacture of aeronautical parts is based on the use of cutting-edge materials that use superalloys to make some of the most complex components of the aircraft. The production of these parts requires the melting of the material, for which vacuum furnaces are used, which operate in the absence of oxygen. At Mondragon Unibertsitatea, research is being carried out with a vacuum oven to investigate the casting of high-performance materials. In this work they collaborate with companies in the aeronautical sector, using the results obtained below to improve industrial production.
