The flora of the Pyrenees in the face of the climate crisis

The impact of the climate crisis also reaches the high mountains. The local flora is suffering the consequences. The international program Florapyr investigates how Pyrenean vegetation is adapting to climate change. Organisations from France, Andorra and Spain, including the Institute of Ecology of Aranzadi and the Pyrenees, participate. In addition to obtaining an overview of the vegetation in the Pyrenees, this research will serve to agree on joint strategies for taking measures against the impact of climate change on the flora.
