610 Basque baccalaureate students had the opportunity to discover the world of engineering at the Higher Technical School of Engineering in Bilbao.
THE STUDENT: Facilities to see, to know what the careers are about, more or less, then, according to our interests, to know what suits us, what not, and so on, to know whether or not to enrol later.
ASUN ILARRAMENDI; Technical School of Engineering:In the department of physics we teach the subjects of physics, the fundamentals of physics.
Mechanics, electromagnetism, optics and quantum physics.
The purpose of these lessons is to see all those that are the foundations of physics.
The experiments and demonstrations served to illustrate the practical applications of engineering studies.
URKO IZQUIERDO; Higher Technical School of Engineering: On the one hand we have the water that we have polluted, in this case the water that we have polluted with copper, and what we do through three different stages is to clean this water.
AINHOA LEJARDI; Higher Technical School of Engineering: We're in the Department of Materials Science. Here we explore the different materials that are currently used in applications.
THE STUDENT: I found the robotics interesting.
I particularly liked industrial engineering. I saw a lot of interesting things. I found the process of making these machines and parts quite interesting.
Top engineers are the most demanded among professionals in the labor market.
THE STUDENT: As we have been shown, in magazines and, it is shown, a career with one of the most exits.
