Children and the environment in the eyes of researchers

The development of a child is strongly influenced by genetics, nutrition, emotional support... and possible contaminants in the environment. We met the INMA project a few years ago when the advice to not eat fish with mercury during pregnancy was disseminated. This project has collected data on the development of thousands of children since pregnancy to investigate the impact of pollutants, including 400 young people from Gipuzkoa. In fact, these children are now 11 years old and the investigation has not yet been completed.
