Genetic material in a blog

A blog about genetics by Asier Fullaondo.

Hello, my name is Asier Fullaondo and I am a professor of genetics at the University of the Basque Country.

I decided to open a blog 5 convictions ago and the reason for this was the centralized preparation of various resources available on the Internet for students. The Internet has many interesting resources, but students wasted a lot of time going from one place to another in search of material. In this way I understand my blog as a support for precision.

The material I put on the base is usually of two forms: videos and animations that help to make the students of genetics understand and, on the other hand, written texts, or information or articles.

The languages I use are three. Things are mostly in English, but you can also find them in Spanish and Basque. The reason for English is that most things in our field, in the field of genetics, are published in that language.

Currently I have about 1,500 visitors every month and, to my surprise, the people who enter the most are not my students. Today, I have a lot of visitors from the United States. This shows that, despite developing the blog with an idea, the internet has a life of its own and many different things and many surprises appear.

It’s true that my posts tend to be a bit messy and I don’t have the habit of writing a weekly or fortnightly post. Sometimes I write a lot and sometimes I write less, depending on what kind of news comes up.
