The smart neighborhood of Vitoria

Cities play an important role in the context of the energy transition. Smarter cities that consume less energy and emit less polluting gases. The SmartEnCity project has been launched in the Coronado neighborhood of Vitoria-Gasteiz to advance along this path. They have improved the insulation of the neighborhood’s buildings, installed a heat network and opted for more sustainable mobility. Mondragon University researchers have built a digital platform that monitors the energy consumption of the neighborhood.
