Technologies of the future
And in the next few minutes we want to show you some of the most advanced technologies... they are technologies that can be applied both in a practical and recreational way. They can be used both in museums and on holidays, and also for advertising.
The young company Innovae Vision is an expert in all these matters. Its purpose is to facilitate communication between people and machines.
The Innovae Vision office is located in the Miramón Technology Park, where they began their career five years ago. In order to facilitate the exchange between the user and the machine, they develop computer applications. They place their work area in divulgation, advertising, or leisure time. there are 15 people in the group with imagination and computer programming working tools.
To create these prototypes, they use a variety of technologies. One of them is artificial intelligence.
ANDONI BERISTAIN; INNOVAE VISION: Although intelligence cannot be achieved in the way we understand it, it can be seen as a utopia, for in the world of computers, what can be achieved is that in certain textures the computer has or has logical answers.
Through this technology, a set of inventions has been developed. The support is similar to a traditional information site, while the software is based on artificial intelligence.
On the screen, we will see a virtual character who will ask us to think in a word.
Once the game starts, the character will ask us several questions. The machine, based on our answers, will try to invent the word we have thought
of. ANDONI BERISTAIN; INNOVAE VISION: What this system has done is to accumulate experience, it has been given a lot of data, and it has done this wisdom to process it, and taking this as a basis, it gets: if a person gives him a new data, he, equating it with the data he has, gives an answer. They
are connected to an expert database. It is a data warehouse with thousands of questions and answers accumulated. In order to know what the word we have thought is, the machine is based on all the previous experiences it has received. The more you use the system, the better the results will be, the more questions and answers you will have internalized, and the more extensive the database
will be. Although the machine shown is for temporary use, this technology can have a variety of
practical uses. ANDONI BERISTAIN; INNOVAE VISION: These may be of importance in the field of health because they can be used to provide a diagnosis as if it were a doctor. They often have a higher background than a doctor, so they can make a better diagnosis. This technology
can only be used for certain types of diagnosis. But several companies are already developing this option.
Teknologia berriak maiz erabili izan dira publizitate-estrategietan. Shop windows, for example, are beginning to change. The
interactive screen is a window that is included in the display. It is used by touch, where you can see the products that are in the
store. ANDONI BERISTAIN; INNOVAE VISION: This interaction can be performed by touch from the outside of the scapula but without touching the scapula. We would have, behind the glass and behind it, a tactilizing system, transparent, and behind it, either a screen or a projection.
But the use of technology in advertising goes much further. If we go to a car show, we’ll see some amazing things.
The leaflets containing the information have become obsolete.
Instead of reading the brochure in the usual way, the image of the product emerges from the paper to the screen converted into a three-dimensional drawing.
For this, the camera, the computer and the screen itself are
sufficient. ANDONI BERISTAIN; INNOVAE VISION: It's called augmented reality. We have reality, and things add up over reality. In our case, it is based on original images and, on these images, three-dimensional images are added. The camera
object will inspect a specific brochure and, through computer programming, the system will learn to recognize the catalog. Each time the camera identifies the geometry of this brochure, it will add a three-dimensional image to it.
The user will be able to change the color of the car by clicking with his finger on the boxes included in the brochure. You can add videos, sounds and photos to
it. This technology can also have more uses. What would happen if, for example, instead of a brochure, the camera was able to recognize the face of the human being? In this case, the computer system would have the ability to recognize any face; and it would add
the desired object to that face. This technology can
lead to changes in the operation of the stores. The user could, for example, try the glasses sold by the optician without having access to the store, or the clothing stores could replace their own testers with full-body screens.
