ESS - Europe's largest source of neutrons

As surprising as it may seem, the smaller things you want to look at, the larger tools you need. And in the Swedish city of Lund, they're building a giant instrument to actually see the inside of matter, which is to get the eye of researchers into the atoms. To get an idea of the size, a half-kilometer tunnel has been constructed to locate the proton accelerator. It is the European Space Centre and will be operational by 2025. Then it will be in the hands of researchers from all over the world and will have an infinite number of uses.
