Looking for the mosquito tiger

This summer, the first two indigenous cases of Chikungunya have been detected in Hendaye and Bidart, raising the alert for the presence of the tiger mosquito. In fact, it can spread diseases such as dengue, zika or chikungunya. Surveillance and fumigation have been intensified in urban areas, and citizens are urged to avoid small water accumulations in urban environments, which are ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
