The interdependent ecosystems

The Basque Centre for Research and Innovation applied to Vocational Training, Tknika, its aquaponics infrastructure in Errenteria, has a vegetable greenhouse, bacterial filters and a fish farm. The residues produced by the fish are converted by the bacterial colonies into nitrates that will be the food of the plants, and during feeding the plants clean the water that will return to the system.
