OBISPO ARTABE; comfortably: What we have done is to use ecological materials in terms of construction and to make the insulation especially the walls and the roof much larger, a center to be more sustainable in terms of air conditioning. In terms of light, what we have included, everything, both inside and outside is the new technology led in. Put the glass on all this side, but it is a special glass that allows the passage of light but not the changes of the heat, so it is more efficient in terms of air conditioning. Then we have also installed clarabons or cucumbers, as much as possible, and these clarabons give light, instead of putting the light down and giving it at a fixed point, the clarabons have some special prisms and they spread the light inside the store. We have installed some automatons in these same clarabons, they read how much light enters from the outside and measure the interior light accordingly.
The installation systems will achieve energy savings of 65%.
OBISPO ARTABE; comfortably: In cold production we use CO2 in the form of refrigerants and it is what we do in terms of air conditioning, using the heat provided by the cold production plant both to heat the water and to provide heat inside the store.
On the outside, in the parking lot, we will install a photovoltaic installation on the marquees to reduce the energy consumption of the interior even more.
OBISPO ARTABE; comfortably: We have set up a charging point for electric cars to give this option to customers completely free of charge.
to achieve the “zero waste” objective, waste management has been taken care of.
OBISPO ARTABE; comfortably: We have tried to manage by ourselves all the waste that we generate in this store, 100%. On the one hand, those that are withdrawn from sale or products that cannot be sold but are well to consume, we donate, we work with the Food Banks of Bergara, and these products are donated. And on the other hand, we collect these products that can’t be donated, we take them away and we take them for composting.
