[Metallic diagnosis of the River Deba]

The quality of the Deba River has improved a lot compared to the situation in the past. However, it remains one of the most polluted rivers in the Basque Country. That's why researchers at the University of the Basque Country are working here. In this research project, metal pollution has been studied throughout the Deba basin. Metals survive in the environment and are, for many, toxic to living beings.
