Sugars, the raw material of alcohol

There is no alcohol if there is no sugar. In fact, alcohol production is a consequence of sugar metabolism in some yeasts and bacteria. Sugar is a food for them. Sugar molecules are special because they are ideal for breaking up carbon bonds quickly, so they provide energy very quickly. Whether these molecules are individually, in a format of two or hundreds of units, this effect is always created with the type of sugar.
