Ana Bernal: "Medicine is still androcentric"

Gender and sex influence medicine, both in the way people take it and in the way diseases affect people. But traditionally, doctors have been men and have used the man as an example of normality. This has serious implications for women's health. Ana Bernal, a professor at the University of the Basque Country and researcher at the Achucarro research centre, explains clearly that medicine remains androcentric.
