Mites, little house monsters

They live in our homes, in the dust that accumulates under the bed, in mattresses, in sheets, but we don’t see them. Some people are allergic. We're talking about mites. These small monster shaped animals belong to the Arachnid family and have been designated as about 50,000 species.

We went to the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of the Basque Country, to the laboratory of parasitology and immunoallergy. Researchers at the Lascaray research center have shown us the world of mites under a microscope.
