Addictions have a gender

There are often gender-related roles behind addictions, and women find it difficult to distance themselves from them. According to studies presented by Emakunde, the lack of a gender perspective in the treatment of female addictions is a major obstacle to getting out of it. Ana Estévez, professor of psychology at the University of Deusto, explains the reasons behind it.
