#11 EHU-IN ACTION: Alicia Gascón Gubieda

Alicia Gascón Gubieda was born in Muxika (Vizcaya) in 1993. He started studying biochemistry at the UPV/EHU and, after having been in Canada, he moved to England to do a master's degree. Thus, he majored in cellular biochemistry at the University of Birmingham, followed by his thesis at Newcastle. He is now a researcher in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology of the University of the Basque Country, with the aim of using magnetotactic bacteria against cancer.
